Kabbalah 101 - Using Ramchal's (Rabbi Moshe Chayim Luzzatto's) introductory text

This beginners, online interactive course will explore core metaphysical concepts of Kabbalah like: Contraction – [Tzimtzum], the different worlds, the Sphirot, Faces [Partzufim], Good & Evil, Freedom of Choice and Reward & Punishment as revealed in the Zohar and in the Lurianic Kabbalah, and made more accessible by Ramchal (Rabbi Moshe Chayyim Luzzatto). We will wrestle with questions like the purpose of Creation, how the Universe is governed since, and how it pertains to our life in it.

We will be using an English translation of Ramchal’s texts (“Introduction to Openings of Wisdom and Knowledge” and "The Way of G-d") divided into 11 chapters one for each week. I will be reading the text with you during the class and explaining and expanding on it as needed. After you register you will get a PDF file of the full text, and everything else that you may need for the course. You are invited to email me any questions about the material which I will address as soon as posibble.

The fee for this course is $95 for 11 sessions. A limited number of partial scholarships is available.
